Check out what one KOAB reader has accomplished in her kids’ play room! You can see in the photo above what the play room looked like before she went to work. Here’s what she said she did:

I am really embarrassed by the bad state of our play room. For the last few weeks we have just been closing the door and pretending it didn’t exist. We even took your advice a while back and got rid of many toys which they had to earn back. (It didn’t sink in in the long run.) I was at the point today that if my kids didn’t help, I was going to throw out everything. Instead, we all pitched in and made about 3 bags of garbage. Now the play room looks clean, we purged some toys, and it didn’t even take that long!

And here’s what it looked like after she was finished! WOW! Doesn’t that look great?

And from personal experience, I bet this awesome reader’s kiddos will even enjoy playing in there a lot better now. I always find that my kids play more independently and creatively with fewer toys. Less once again is more!
