Save 50% Off Kaspersky Lab’s Suite ~ Keep Yourself & Your Family Safe Online #KLSec

Kaspersky Family Internet SecurityThis post is brought to you by Kaspersky Lab and The Motherhood. All opinions in this blog are my own.

With January 1st right around the corner, I’m back at one of my favorite activities: Organizing!

You guys know I love to declutter and organize, but one area that often gets overlooked is  a reboot of our Internet activities.

Last year, I shared with you how I’m moving toward (always a work in progress!) a paper-free home office and earlier in the year, I talked about how we keep all of our photos organized online.

With more and more of our lives happening online, security for those systems is more important than ever.

I have learned this lesson time again. There was that time that my Walmart.com account got hacked. And I was far from the only one. How often in the last few years have we heard about point-of-sale attacks? In the last two years alone, there were huge ones at Home Depot and Target.

And the risks that come from Internet safety issues aren’t just financial. Ten years ago, I discovered a nefarious online profile, which had shared a photo of my son. I had posted a picture of him to my Flickr account, which I was using to share photos with my family. He was three years old and wearing a bathing suit.

I immediately reported this action to the FBI (the profile featured a number of other photos of young boys wearing bathing suits, underwear and even diapers) and made my Flickr account private. However, this episode really shook me.

As a blogger, I live my professional life online; and the truth is that I — like many of you — also live much of my private life online, too. Ever since that Flickr experience, however, I’ve been far more concerned about just how exposed we are when we use the Internet.

That’s why I am constantly doing my best to ensure that all of my family’s online activities are as safe as possible. For me, the goal is two-fold: 1. To protect our online shopping and banking (on all of our many devices) and 2. To keep our kids safe.

One way to do that is by using Kaspersky Lab’s suite of products. Kaspersky is the world’s most awarded internet security.  It has placed 1st in over 60 independent tests and reviews — and is the top-rated product by AV-Comparatives for the last 5 years in a row.

Through January 10th, you can take 50% off all of Kaspersky’s award-winning Core Products, including:

  • Kaspersky Antivirus ($34.99 with the sale)
  • Kaspersky Internet Security ($39.99 with the sale)
  • Kaspersky Total Security ($49.99 with the sale — this is the best protection for families)

If you are looking for a robust, family-wide (and home-wide) option, I recommend checking out Kaspersky’s Total Security product, which is ideal for monitoring and setting limits for your kids online.

Other features include:

  • Securing computers, smartphones and tablets with multi-device protection
  • Shopping and banking safely with award-winning Safe Money technology
  • Stopping webcam hackers from spying into your home
  • Confirming the security of your Wi-Fi connection
  • Creating, syncing and managing your passwords (I use LastPass for this, but this is an all-in-one solution)
  • Backing up valuable data for free online—including photos and videos
  • Setting screen limits for your children
  • Viewing real-time GPS tracking (great for new drivers!) plus receiving location and safety alerts

Learn more about Total Security over at the Kaspersky site — and don’t forget that if you’re going to make a purchase, you want to do so before January 10th so you can save 50%.
