Right now, Amazon has the Cuisinart Immersion Hand Blender in Chrome for just $24.83 – normally $55 – a savings of 55%. That’s a great price on a serious time-saver.
I love my immersion hand blenders — aka the “zhu zhu sticks”. I have three of them! One meat, one dairy – and one for Pesach fleishig. I love being able to “zhuzh” my soup right in the pot, and since I make a lot blended soups, it’s a major time-saver for me.
The one thing I’ve learned is that even though the $9 immersion sticks have a tempting price tag, they DON’T LAST! Their blender bit is encased in plastic, and when you put that into a hot, hot pot of soup… well, you can imagine the rest.
That’s why I love these Cuisinart ones – not only the blades but the whole bottom bit is metal, so no melting in the soup pot!
Thanks, Bargain Blessings.

So, this may sound crazy – but I’m looking for a $9 one! Can’t find it anywhere anymore!
I need one just for dairy, not used so so much, but still dying for one!
Any ideas?
Walmart!
you’re probably cringing at me now!!!!
I have a cuisinart meat one, and as this will be rarely used, $9 one is sufficient!
I hope I don’t eat my words!!!
LOL, not cringing. I’m telling you – I get the appeal! TOTALLY! As long as you’re
newnot (ugh, typo!) blending in a pot of steaming hot soup, I’m sure you’ll be fine. xo
