Amazon: FREE $2 MP3 Credit Thru February 14th

Woohoo, more free music for my ipod!

Through February 14, you can send an MP3 for FREE to friends – or save it for yourself — when you use the code VDAYMP3S at checkout. (We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, but hey, I’m not opposed to using a VDAY code to get some free music!)

Here’s how it works:

1. Browse for music at the Amazon MP3 Store

2. Pick the album or song you want and click the “Give album or song as a gift” button. Fill in the email information of the friend you’re sending the song to.

3. Click the “Proceed to Checkout” button.

4. On the checkout page, enter code VDAYMP3S in the box labeled “Have any gift cards, gift certificates, or promotional claim codes?” and click the “Apply” button. Your $2 credit will be added.

Alternatively, if you want to keep the code for yourself, scroll down to the “Add a Gift Card” button – it’s about half-way down the page on the left-hand side of the Amazon MP3 Store homepage. Click that button, then enter the code VDAYMP3S to apply your $2 credit.

Be sure to use the code by February 14th or it will expire.

    Thanks Mara!

  2. Yay!! Music is one of those things I used to spend a lot of money on, and it’s been basically cut from our budget. So I love being able to get a few free songs here and there!

  3. Thanks for this! My son’s computer crashed last month, and he lost a lot of his music. For a 12-year-old, this can be quite devastating. I cheered him up with the freebies, and the ability to choose 2 songs of his liking. Thank you for making my boy happy tonight!
