Remember how Susie Sharf suggested that we get a Misto Olive Oil sprayer for Passover rather than using that (nasty, plastic-tasting) KLP “butter” spray?
I thought: “Gosh, that’s such a good idea. I’m definitely going to do that.”
And then I promptly forgot about it.
But Amazon didn’t forget!
Right now, you can get the Misto M100S Gourmet Brushed Aluminum Olive Oil Sprayer for just $8.50, normally $15.99. (Full disclosure: Bed Bath and Beyond sells this for $9.99. Even still – a nice little savings.) All the benefits of Pam spray, with none of the chemicals or propellants.
And it ships for free with your Amazon Prime / Amazon Mom membership, so no wasted gasoline for you.
My taste buds will definitely thank you, Amazon!

I just got a $10 gift card for Amazon for doing surveys. Free sprayer! Also love that is not an aerosol, those always bug mine (and DS) asthma.
I just saw these at Costco recently. It was a 2-pack, honestly I don’t remember the price, but I do remember thinking that the per unit price came out to less than Bed and Bath, so if you’re at Costco anyway, it might be worth checking out.
Thanks, Danielle. I’m sort of laughing that Costco has 2 in a pack – you know, like for pesach and chametz or something.
but does it clog? i’ve seen that happen with similar sprayers, and i would hate to invest (even a small amount) if that’s going to happen.
I read through a few of the reviews (there were over 300), and they are quite good, especially on this issue. I guess you can twist the cap a bit after use to release some air and prevent it from clogging.
I know that the taste and environmental impact are probably better with a pump spray, but I don’t know how to calculate whether it is cost effective for regular use. In my area, the spray goes on sale for $1.89. Any suggestions?
I guess you’d have to amoratize it over the, let’s say, 5-10 years you’d have it? For me, it’s a taste issue. I can’t stand that fake buttery spray!
I actually have one and we’ve be quite happy with it. It’s not perfect, but I like it much better than commerical sprays. I find it works best when you keep it fairly full. This is my second one, the first one lasted about 5 years I think.
I got this last year (paid 20% less than an arm and a leg for it, too)- got one for olive oil and one for regular oil (I don’t like scrambled eggs in olive oil. yuck). We kept one for ongoing passover use, and one year-round. 1 year later, it’s still rockin’ out. Totally worth the investment, I KNOW I saved money on the year-round one!
