I just grabbed the Ralph the Mouse Collection. We actually had Mouse on the Motorcycle on hold at the public library – but at this price, it’s worth having in our personal library.

Beverly Cleary books are super if you have young children who are strong readers. I find that while my third grader may be able to read books aimed at middle schoolers, I don’t necessarily want him experiencing that content. The Mouse and the Motorcycle book has challenging vocabulary and sentence structure (I seem to recall its lexile being around 800), while still being age appropriate for what you’d want a young reader exposed to.

And – you know me – you can’t beat the price!

Shipping is free with your Amazon Prime account – or when you spend $25+ with Super Saver Shipping.

Remember, Amazon pricing can change on a dime, so always confirm prices before you check-out.

If you are ordering these for Chanukah, these will be to you by Wednesday with Amazon Prime. Are you signed up for the Kosher on a Budget Chanukah 2012 Newsletter? Each morning, you’ll get an email with that days’ hottest gift ideas for Chanukah.

  1. Very tempting, but I just picked up a couple of Beverly Cleary’s books for my third grader at a great used bookstore in Midtown Manhattan for $1 per book. I love used bookstores!
