Couponing Basics | A New Series

Yesterday on Facebook, I asked if you would be interested in a “Couponing Basics” series. The answer was a resounding yes!

So last night, I sketched out a rough outline to this series.

If you’ve ever attended a Kosher on a Budget couponing class, much of the content in my outline may sound familiar. However, it’s my hope that wherever you are “at” in your couponing journey – a newbie, a pro, or somewhere in between – you will be able to glean helpful information from this series.

Start with the Basics – Setting a Good Foundation for Savings

Couponing Myths & Facts

Where to Find the Best Coupons

How to Organize All Your Coupons

Coupon Terminology: What’s That Mean?!

The Five Rules for Strategic Coupon Usage (depending on how wordy I get, I may break these up into separate posts)

Ethical Couponing

Repurposing Expired Coupons

How to Stockpile

Is there something else you’d like to see me talk about in this Couponing Basics series? Let me know by leaving a comment on this post or shooting me an email.

On a different note… I am trying to get myself into a more organized routine for writing these kinds of meatier posts. Life has been increasingly hectic this winter, and I think a schedule is just what I need to stay on track.

So, here is what I am proposing to do (which I hope you’ll hold me to – but not too forcefully!)

Tuesdays – Reader Q&A (got questions about keeping kosher on a budget??? Email me!)

Wednesdays – Budgeting Basics

Thursdays – Couponing Basics

Fridays – KOAB Recipe Exchange (I’ve woefully fallen off the wagon, but I really want to pick this up again!)

So… whatcha think?

  3. yay! looking forward…

  4. This is very exciting to me! I’m ready to learn. Your schedule looks terrific.

  5. Can’t wait! 🙂

  7. I love the coupon series idea. I’m always looking for better ways to stretch our money. (And I, too, long for that $0.99/lb ground beef. Sigh.)

And the posting routine reminds me of a weekly menu. 🙂 Can’t wait!
