Kansas City Hen House Deals: Free Peaches & Almost Free Cereal

If you don’t live in Kansas City, you can feel free to skip right over this post.

I’m not really planning to do a lot of grocery store match-ups on this blog, as I think there are probably other bloggers out there who are already doing a better job of that than I would. But I happened to check out this week’s Hen House ad online today and saw a few notable items I wanted to point out to you.

Before I do, though, did you know that you can buy a Hen House coupon booklet as a BIAV fundraiser right now? You can buy the book of coupons for $5, and despite a number of coupons for non-kosher items, you will more than make up your investment in savings. In fact, the first coupon in the book is good for $5 off a $50 order or more!

Just be sure to watch that your coupons actually ring through, as apparently the registrars have had a problem with the bar codes. Double check your receipt before you leave and if there’s a problem, customer service will refund you any unscanned coupons.

Without further adieu, here are two stellar deals you should definitely pick up while shopping at Hen House this week.

Peaches – $.99/lb
Buy one pound and use $1/1 lb coupon from the fundraiser book
Free after coupon!

Post Cereal, including Honey Comb – $1.68
Buy two and use $1/2 from 7/25 SS insert
Combine with $1/1 coupon from the fundraiser book (you can use more than one if you’ve bought more than one book)
Pay $.68 each, or just $.18 each if you have two books!

As for the rest of the match-ups, I recommend checking out one of the two KC area bloggers that I read regularly, either Kansas City Mamas or Cutting Coupons in KC. As with most coupon bloggers, KC Mamas and Cutting Coupons are not Jewish and are, in fact, quite religious Christians, as far as I can tell from some of their posts. Their deal match-ups are great, though, and are reliably posted by Wednesday morning every week for Hen House, Price Chopper and HyVee.
