Amazon has the fantastic cookbook, Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: The Big Book of Everyday Slow Cooking (Kindle) for just $1.99.
The author, Stephanie O’Dea, was the original slow cooker blogger. She spent a whole year cooking dinner every single night in the slow cooker – and blogging about it.
Her family is gluten-free, so all of the recipes in this book are either gluten-free or have gluten-free tweaks.
I have also found that her blog (and this cookbook) are very friendly to the kosher-keepers among us. There is the occasional recipe that calls for pork, but none of the cook-chicken-breasts-in-cream-of-whatever soups that are common in slow cooker recipes.
Stephanie writes about good, whole, healthy food — that you can make quick (& cook slow).
For just $1.99, it’s a steal. The print price on this book is $19.99!
Even if you don’t have a Kindle, you can still read this book by downloading FREE applications to read Kindle books on your Mac, PC, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7, or Android Phone.
Amazon pricing can change on a dime, so please confirm prices before you check-out.
Thanks, Kansas City Mamas.
