Nehalel Shabbat Siddur | Review, Sale & Giveaway

Nehalel Be Shabbat

If you don’t have the Nevarech benscher, you’ve certainly seen it on a friend’s Shabbat table. You may not know it by name, but you know the one I mean. The one with all those gorgeous pictures?

The publishers of that ever-popular benscher have recently released their newest creation — a similarly styled Shabbat siddur called Nehalel Be Shabbat.

When the publishers sent me an advance copy for review, my husband immediately scooped it up and “offered” to do the review. (In which “offered” equals stated as unequivocal fact.)

Nehalel

So, without further adieu, here’s what my husband had to say:

This new siddur is fantastic. The pictures are beautiful and very inspiring. I actually like this far more than the benscher, which my wife always liked, but I found a bit over the top.

I really recommend reading the essays at the beginning of the siddur; I got a lot out of them. They helped to set the framework for using this siddur as part of your Shabbat davening.

The publishers obviously put a lot of thought into how to gain inspiration and connection in your davening; they recommend using the pictures as a guide to help you reach that — but caution that they are a means to an end, not an end to themselves.

I have discovered, after using the siddur for a couple of months, that it’s really best to use it occasionally – as a way to keep your davening fresh.

My only critique is that it doesn’t fit comfortably in my tallit bag and it’s a bit heavy – but those things aren’t a major deal-breaker, especially for all the plusses of this siddur.

I look forward to seeing what product they come out with next!

Nehalel2

As you can tell, the siddur was a resounding hit with my husband. And I can see it being a great addition to just about any family’s home. Think: Yom tov host or hostess gift!

It would also make a wonderful present for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, or a child heading off to Israel for the year (or college).  Even for younger children, it’s a great gift. I know my “visual learner” loves snuggling up next to daddy for davening when he’s using this siddur.

Because I just knew you’d love it, I’ve partnered up with the fine people at Nehalel to offer an exclusive sale for KOAB readers:

When you click thru this link, you can get the new Nehalel Siddur for $25.95 (regularly $29.95) + $4.50 shipping & handling.

If you are in Israel, you can get your copy of Nehalel for just 98 NIS (regularly 129 NIS), which includes shipping. (Hey, it’s a better deal for my Israeli readers!)

You can also get a taste for this amazing siddur by downloading a free PDF of Kabbalat Shabbat HERE.

Thank you so much for posting this review and hosting this contest. I would love to win this siddur because I already love davening so much, and I want my boys to find some beauty in it as well (ages 11, 8, and 6). Winning as opposed to buying would be good, since I have already bought multiple versions of the new Koren line for myself and each of my boys, and I think the Beautiful Bride would look askance at my purchasing yet another siddur. Thank you!
