  1. I fail to see the great metziah here. Amazon carries most of these Oneida flatware sets at a regular price of $27.49, free shipping.

    • I just double checked – some are indeed $27.49 (which is still a few bucks more than this price) – and the pattern I want is $44 on Amazon. HTH.

Rachel, thanks for pointing that out. The shipping here is free with the code, so a few dollars less–and I also found a coupon code TTE10 that gives you another 10% off.

    • Sue – I’m not sure you can “stack” the 10% off with the free shipping. Hopefully it will work for you.

And, yes, “my” patterns were more expensive on Amazon, too. Funny. (Which are you getting?)

The patterns that I want are $39.99 and $49.99 on Amazon. So, it always pays to check, but this is still quite a good deal.

Mara, I did just stack it with free shipping, and it seems to be working. The patterns I’m considering getting 8 more of (that is, two sets) are Stanhope and Tuscany (like Stanhope better, but Tuscany is a little closer in size to our current fleishik flatware, which is Origami by Dansk. Love it, but it was discontinued. And is expensive in any case.

Do you know what “18/0” stainless is, though? This sounds low quality–I am used to 18/10, which is better than 18/8. This is confusing to me.

I would love to get something similar to our milchik flatware, which is Robert Welch’s Ammonite

and hard to find for below about $100/set, but I don’t see anything on Oneida or anywhere else even remotely like it. Something with some kind of circular or swirly adornment at the end of the handle is what I’m looking for.

    • I got stanhope too. I don’t think the 10% works with the free shipping though. 🙁 I couldn’t get both to show up.
