I remember when I first learned about buying new clothes for yomtov, so you can say a shehecheyanu.

I was 17. It was kind of an eye-opening moment.

“I gotta go to the mall, Mom!”

Now a few decades later, all this new clothes buying could be a little stressful for a frugalista like me. Until, of course, I realized that new clothes doesn’t have to mean full price.

Now, I get the mitzvah and a great deal. Win-win!

I big puffy heart love this Primigi White and Navy Tier Dress  for girls. And, just an FYI, if you’re in to dressing your girls the same, this comes in toddler, little girl and big girl sizes. (Too bad I can’t get my boys to go for that idea.) It’s $34.95, originally $67.

Of course I had to go searching for navy girls shoes to complete the cuteness.

I thought these Pampili Mary Janes would be perfect! ($22.99, regularly $42)

For my boys, I was loving this Calvin Klein Kids Single-Breasted Navy Pin Stripe Suit (you may have to enlarge the image to see the pinstripes – they are subtle, just the way I like ’em!). They have sizes up to a 20, which is good – since my 9 year-old is already wearing 12s! The suit is $75 (originally $152), so I’m thinking yomtov and beyond (Bar Mitzvah?).

For me, I am smitten with this Tahari by ASL Howard dress in Bio Red. Just add a shell and I should be ready to go. The dress is available in papaya (which is a pretty peachy orange color). It’s on sale for $45, originally $129.

And shoes? Not a problem. I just searched for black dress shoes from 6pm’s clearance link – and all I know is, I may have to break my no-heel rule. (These Sasha Peep Toe Pumps are by Rockport, so they’ll be comfortable, right? They are $45.50, regularly $130. And yes, they do have them in red – if you’re bolder than me.)

For my husband, I spied a number of button up dress shirts to make that old suit new again, including Michael Kors, Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein and more, starting from $19.99 (originally $60).
