Good news for all of you who like to save money using your smartphone.
The SavingStar app will now work at Walmart, Target and Walgreens, as well as Dollar General and Family Dollar.
Until now, the app would only work at stores that had loyalty reward programs. Today, however, you will now able to save at these five stores as well.
How will I be able to redeem offers at Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Dollar and Family Dollar?
Make a purchase and be sure to save your receipt. You’ll need the SavingStar mobile app on your smart phone to redeem it. Tap the redeem button in the app. First scan the UPCs (barcodes) from your purchase. Then take a picture of your receipt using the app. If you already have the app, make sure to update to the newest version!
The rest of the stores will continue to apply your savings via your store reward card. Find out more about how the SavingStar app works.
