Sifriyat Pijama b’America ~ FREE Hebrew Books & CDs for Children 3-5 Yrs Old

I posted about Sifriyat Pijama b’America, a wonderful new children’s Hebrew literacy program, back in August. I never heard anything about my application, so I wasn’t sure of the status of this program.

Well, I just got an email from them today stating that our family will start to receive our books in January! YAY!!

Funded by the Israeli Leadership Council, Sifriyat Pijama b’America is the Hebrew book PJ Library, sending 9 mailings a year of Hebrew books and/or Israeli music CDs to children 3-5 years old.

There is a waitlist, but you can get on it by signing up HERE.

  1. I also got an email today saying we’re signed up–the funny thing is that I never applied. But I’m not complaining, if I’d known of the program I definitely would have applied! I’m assuming they got our info from the PJ Library.

Very excited! Now I need to find a source of Hebrew books for my older kids (9 & 11) that don’t cost an arm & a leg. 😉

  2. We just got our first item the other day from them. However, when I read the literature that came with it, it said it was for Israeli families. I was never told that when I signed up for the waiting list a long time ago. Do you know anything about this?
