Yesterday’s Target Run: I Saved 60%!

Saved 60% at Target

I probably shouldn’t admit this on my own blog, but here it is: There are days when I wonder if all this effort to save money is really worth it. Maybe I’d be better off spending the same time cleaning houses or delivering newspapers or writing more freelance articles.

But then I have days like today at Target, when I spend just $30.09, and save $47.12 — just from coupons! Not even counting the sale price of items! (Yes! I’m excited! I’m using a lot of exclamation points!)

I got free or almost free produce, 2 casual Shabbat shirts for my husband, a good deal of my 1st grader’s school supply list, and enough pudding packs to last ’til Thanksgiving.

I mean seriously, even I can’t believe I got all that stuff for just $30. So, yeah, when I have awesome trips like today’s to Target, it’s definitely worth it to me!

Here’s the break-down on what I bought and the coupons I used, in case you want to make a similar run before this week’s awesome Target deals expire on Saturday night.

So, what do you think? Are coupons worth it to you? Did you get any amazing deals & steals from Target this week? Do share!

Great Job!! I saw a shirt in there. If you go to either target in op (119th or Oak park mall) they have/had boys tshirts under $2 each. I bought a bunch for next year.

    • do you think they are still on sale? shame i just read this now. thank you mara!

      • @gevura – some of the items are still on sale… which ones are you interested in particularly? did you see my link to the deals from this week?
