Target’s New Cartwheel Mobile Savings Program

Target Cartwheel

Target has rolled out a new coupon savings program called Target Cartwheel. It’s designed primarily as a mobile savings program (i.e. on your Smartphone), but if you don’t have a smart phone, there is a work-around, which I explain below.

The beauty of Cartwheel is that you can stack these savings not only with manufacturer coupons, but also with other Target coupons – both paper and mobile coupons. And with Shopkick coupons.

In a perfect storm, you could be using four different coupons on ONE product!

Here’s how to use Cartwheel:

  • To sign up for Cartwheel, you will need to login via Facebook (so unfortunately this only works for those of you with a Facebook profile).
  • To find a savings offer, just check your Cartwheel activity feed – or use the search function to find one of the 650+ offers available.
  • To get an offer, just click on it – a red checkmark will appear in the corner of your selected cards. You can have up to 10 cards in your account at once, but you can unlock more by checking out the Cartwheel Badges.
  • To redeem your savings, you can display the barcode to the cashier by clicking the Redeem in Store button on the top right – he or she will enter your savings by scanning your phone. If you don’t have a smart phone, you can print out your Cartwheel barcodes at home and hand them over to the cashier. There isn’t an app yet for Cartwheel, so just bookmark the page on your phone to pull it up quickly.

In the coming weeks, I will begin to incorporate Cartwheel coupons into my weekly Target match-ups, so keep an eye out for that. Happy savings!

  1. FYI If you have a target.com account you can also use it for cartwheel, I did not sign in through facebook!
