Walgreens Deals for 9/16/12 – 9/22/12

Walgreens is launching a new loyalty rewards program this week, called Balance Rewards (BR). Details are still a bit sparse, but for now we know that when you purchase certain advertised products each week, you will be rewarded balance points. These points will accrue and can be “cashed in” for in-store credit.

A minimum of 5,000 points is required to cash in for a $5 credit. 40,000 points is equal to a $50 credit.

At least for now, Walgreens will also still feature weekly and monthly Register Rewards (RR) deals.

Stay tuned – as I have more real-life information about how this program will affect your Walgreens deal shopping, I’ll be sure to share.

Are you planning a Walgreens run this week? What’s on your list?

Comments

  1. I thought you don’t need a filler for wags store coupons. Just using one manufacturers q on Huggies scenario

  2. FrugalEngineer says

The way I see the Kleenex deal, by the time you’ve ‘invested’ in the first 6 boxes you may as well buy a 7th. That extra box gets you 50 cents more in RR. Given that the box cost you 99 cents (since no Q) you effectively get it for 49 cents. That’s less than the per box price for the first 6! In a house with this many allergies I sure know my kleenex prices. LOL

And I don’t see why the Huggies deal needs a filler. One Q is a MQ, the other is a Store Q. Those can be used together just like can be done anywhere, like Target or HyVee. The number of MQ can’t exceed the items purchased and the number of WagsQ can’t exceed the items purchased. Otherwise, you’re good to go.
