Will you come to my (virtual) sukkah hop?

Putting up our sukkah walls

My kids and I were just making decorations for our sukkah and I thought, “I wonder what my readers’ sukkot look like?” (Yes, I really do think about you all.the.time.) And then I thought, “Hey, why don’t I invite them to a sukkah hop party?!”

I’ve noticed that more and more of my commenters seem to have (awesome) blogs of their own, so I thought I might be able to support a little linky party. A sukkah hop linky party!

I will plan to put up the post on Wednesday morning — early enough to catch my readers in Israel — with a picture and maybe a little narrative about our sukkah. And then hopefully you will link up to show off your sukkah. I’d really love to see where you’ll be spending your next 9 days.

Small, big, fancy, simple — it’s all good. I am no Sukkah-decorating Nester… trust me!… so no need to feel intimidated here. I promise, we’ll be a very humble and haimish crowd.

So, will you join my sukkah hop? And will you tell your friends to join to? Please?! I’ll be so sad if I’m the only one (no pressure, of course). Oh, and if you want to join in, but you don’t have a blog, you can feel free to post a comment with a link to a picture of your sukkah on Flickr or any other online hosting site.

I hope you’ll join me! Can’t wait to see you Wednesday morning.

  1. I plan to join you for your Sukkah hop. Mine is going up today. Don’t you just love Sukkot! I would love to have one of those super posh sukkahs. However, this year we are sticking with things we already own. And I am too practical to have anything posh!

    • YAY!!! I’m so glad I won’t be alone at my party! I do love Sukkot. You know, since having kids, it has become my absolute favorite holiday. I’m still not a huge fan of Purim (despite having kids), but Sukkot is amazing! Our sukkah is the farthest thing from posh, don’t worry! Can’t wait to see your pixs tomorrow! THANK YOU 🙂

  2. um, i think i’m in love! with your site and this idea! love the photo of your sweet helpers! 🙂

    • Ach, I’m so honored! I have always loved your writing 🙂 Just enjoyed your lovely candy coated moments post on the sukkah your kids built – hope you”ll link it up to the Sukkah Hop. Moadim L’Simcha!
