Win a Free Copy of the New Kosher by Design Cookbook

Kosher by Design cookbook giveaway

Did you get a chance to check out my review of the new Kosher by Design Teens & 20-Somethings earlier today? Weeeeee, I was so excited when they asked me to write a review. I was even more excited when they told me that they were going to give away one copy of the book to a reader of Kosher on a Budget!

Do you want to win a FREE copy of Susie Fishbein’s newest cookbook? All you have to do is leave me a comment below about whom you would give the cookbook to if you win. Maybe a son or daughter graduating from high school? A friend going off to college? A neighbor getting married? Or perhaps you’d want to keep it for your own cookbook  collection? That’s okay, too! There are no right or wrong answers, just let me know who it’d be!

The cookbook can be shipped anywhere in the world, so all you folks reading in Belize better enter!

The contest will close at 11:59 CST on Monday, October 25, 2010. The winner will be selected randomly and announced next Tuesday. One entry per person only, please.

Good luck! Enter now…and then go tell you friends to join the fun, too!

Disclosure: Artscroll has provided me and the winner of this giveaway with free copies of the book. I was not compensated in any other way to publish my review or to run this giveaway.

Comments

  1. I’d keep it for myself (I’m a twenty-something)!

  2. I still think of myself as being in my 20’s, although according to the Hebrew calendar, it’s my birthday today and I’m 3 years above the last year of the 20’s! My brother is 28 though, so I guess if I wasn’t keeping it, I’d give it to him.

  3. I would give it to my daughter. She’s obsessed with the Kosher by Design for kids, so I know she’d love this new one.

  4. I would give it to our babysitter- she is a college student and I am teaching her how to cook.

  5. I would hold onto it for my son – he’s only 7, but loves cooking.

  6. I love KBD, so I would keep it. I’d lend it to my younger sisters if they wanted it though.

  7. I guess I would selfish and keep if for myself 😉

  8. I would give it my son who is 11 but acts like a teenager more and more everyday!

  9. I love your blog but this is the first time I’m commenting! I love the kosher by design kids and short on time! This one sounds good too. btw, when i look at your blog i can’t see the place to comment unless i scroll over it with the mouse. just wanted to let you know. thanks for all your great info-keep doing what you’re doing-it’s great!!

  10. hey i’d give this cookbook to my mom cause she has every other kosher by design cookbook, so why not add it to the collection. also she loves cooking, especially kosher food!!! 🙂

  11. Frankly, I would want it for myself. But if my little sister likes it, I’d get her a copy for Chanuka!

  12. I would give it to my sister/s both are in their twenties and both claim they are not “domestic” so this cook book would be perfect for them!

  13. I am far from having teenagers or 20-somethings in my house. But I would probably keep it for our family. My daughter loves to help in the kitchen so she would love it too.

    • I’d give it to a friend of mine who is in the targeted age group (well, close enough) or my sister, who actually is 🙂

      • I would keep it for myself — I keot the kids one for myself too. My kids will grow into them someday 🙂

  14. I would give it to my son. He has a new found appreciation for cooking.

  15. Julia Siegel says

I’d keep it for myself and use it with my mother this summer for some family bonding time 🙂

  16. I just found your website the other day and am enjoying it! If I won the cookbook, I’d give it to Ben (he’s 14). He knows how to make Wacky Mac and how to make toast and that’s it.

    Thanks,
    Debbie

  17. I’d probably keep it for myself, but try to use it when cooking with my daughter.

  18. ellen dimbert says

I love the KBD books, and if I win, my grandchildren will cook even better

  19. I’ve always had an affinity towards cooking and kosher cookbooks. So much so, I even read them on Shabbos. It’s not just the recipes, but the stories that go along with them. When my husband and I got married 7 years ago, he started a minhag of gifting me a new kosher cookbook every Chanukah. I have the other KBD books and after watching Julie and Julia where Julie blogs through Julia Child’s cookbook, I was this close to doing that with Susie Fishbein’s books. Maybe I still will. I was just thinking last night that I think we will be forgoing the gifts this year since we are trying to save money. If it were not for your blog, inspiration and strategies, I’m not sure how we would be getting through this life transition we are in right now. So to answer your question, I would give the cookbook to my dear hubby…who could then continue his minhag of gifting me a new cookbook each Chanuka. Thanks for all that you do, Mara!

  20. I’d like to keep this cookbook for myself–I’d add it to the other
Susie Fishbein cookbooks on my shelf. If I must share, it would
    be with my daughters.

  21. I would give it to my wife, the love of my life. Although she is no longer a teen or a twenty something, in my eyes she will always be the young woman I married.

  22. I’d give it to my newly married daughter!!!

  23. I would keep it for myself and hope one day to share it with my kids. Oh how nice is the thought of the day my kids will help themselves to a cookbook and dig into the shabbos and dinner preparations.

  24. Devorah Gold says

I would give the cookbook to my newly married daughter.

  25. I’d give it to my daughter who is almost 10 and is becoming an independent cook! She makes her own contributions to shabbos and also likes to bake treats during the week.

  26. I’d probably give it to my friend Zippy who loves the KBD books.

  27. Dana Morgen says

I would give it to my daughter, Ilana, who is getting into cooking. She is in her early 20’s and we have enjoyed all the Kosher By Design cookbooks!!

  28. I would love to use it as my husband and I are on a college campus and often have students over for shabbat and various meals. I’m sure it would give me quick and easy meal ideas and especially ones on a very tight budget!

  29. My college age daughter, cooking for the first time in her own place, would be thrilled by this book. I would hang onto it until I could give it to her for Hanukka.

  30. I would give it to my daughter who is 7 going on 20-something. I would actually use it to help teach her about Kashrut.

  31. I’d probably keep it for myself! But my daughter, who’s a teen, would probably promptly start working her way through it too 🙂

  32. I would probably keep it for myself… I love cookbooks!

  33. I would keep the cookbook for myself and use it with my 4 daughters who aren’t close to 20 yet but sometimes act like it :)!

  34. I would keep it for myself. Looks like a great cookbook!

  35. If I win I will give the copy to my wife.

  36. I would keep it for myself…I love cookbooks!

  37. Reena Ziporah says

I would make it a “gift” to my family and guests by using it to liven up our daily fare.

  38. One of my daughters just graduated from college and is living/working in Boston. She loves to cook. I had read about this cookbook and think she would love it.

  39. Janet Shaw says

I would like to give a copy to my daughter who is 21, and should be cooking on her own now, but needs guidance.

  40. I would give it to my cousin who loves to cook.

  41. Everyone in our family enjoys cooking, but I have one child who is the first one into the kitchen and the last one to leave, and he never wanders away when he bores of the task. He is a few years shy of being in his 20s, but through the grace of Hashem he will be a young man who will grow up loving to cook. So should I win, it would go to my youngest R…. to grow into.

  42. My cookbook will go to Becca- because I miss her a lot and want her to have a new cookbook for Chanukah.

  43. I’d give it my fiance so we could enjoy delicious meals in our new life together.

  44. I would love to win the cookbook. This will be a gift to my cousin who has three little boys.

  45. I’d give it to my son who is just starting to cook.

  46. Being that I’m a twenty-something, married, and own no cookbooks, I’ll keep it if I win, thanks 🙂

  47. I’m far from my 20’s (sob) but we love fun food around here. and anything that gets the kids to eat is ok by me!

  48. I can never have too many cookbooks! Some of my (family’s) favorite recipes come from Kosher by Design, but I need things to be less complicated most nights of the week. I’m excited about the prospect of simpler recipes of the same caliber!

  49. I would probably keep it, because we are always looking for interesting, new, simple recipes to try out.

  50. I would keep it for myself, but for my kids. I really want to encourage them to know their way around, and help out in the kitchen (since my mom NEVER made me do anything, and when i got married i was clueless!) Plus, even though they’re still a bit on the young side (haven’t reached the teenage years yet but getting close) I think it would be a great way for us to connect and bond by all cooking dinner together!
