Comments

  1. Funny you should ask…. I just posted on Facebook about my experience at CVS today. Here’s what my status message was:

“An uptight frum lady was behind me in line at CVS while the checker rang my order up wrong several times through no fault of my own (I was using coupons, ExtraCare Bucks and a gift card… too much to handle, apparently). As I left, she snidely remarked to the checker “Well! I guess we have our very own Extreme Couponer on our hands, don’t we?” She must have been jealous of the fact that I got 3 packs of Pull-Ups ($40 worth) for free.”

The longer version of the story is that they had Jumbo packs of Huggies and Diapers Diapers/Pullups on sale for $9 each, PLUS listed as some of the products qualifying for “10 ECB if you buy $25”. So I bought three packages ($27 for what before the sale would have been more like $40!), and used three coupons (-$6), bringing it down to $21. I used $12 of my ECB’s to bring it down to $10, which would have been a great deal by itself but I actually paid using a $10 CVS card that I got through debit card points. And then I got $10 ECB’s back. Technically I lost 2 of my ECB’s, but it was worth it because we’re broke and I never use up all my ECB’s. My kid is potty training so being able to get 1 pack of pull-on Little Movers (because really, how is a pull-on diaper anyd ifferent from a pull-up?) and 2 packs of PullUps was great.

  2. I’m going for the CVS Huggies deal, too. I bought some extra $3/1 Huggies little movers coupons. They are selling for $9 each, spend $25 get $10 ECB, and buy 6, get 7th free. (You have to wait for a coupon for the freebie).

That’s 6 x $9 (+ 7th free) = $54. Coupons bring that down to $33 (7 coupons x $3 each), stacked with a bonus CVS coupon for $2.50 off I got in the mail. Plus the $10 ECB, and I get 7 packages of Huggies Little Movers for $20.50!

I might even do it again since I have the coupons (I got them from Ebay). 7 packages of diapers that are like pull ups for $33 is still $4.71 a package, and with several kids in at least one diaper a day, I go through a lot of diapers!

  3. This is why I am checking your website BEFORE I go to CVS next time: I thought I was saving so much with that Mars candy bar offer (stocking up for trick or treaters) but didn’t think to thumb through the Oct. All You that is sitting by my bed. That unused $1.50 coupon hurts 🙂 !
