  1. I have a fairly large collection of handmade bowls, and my favorite is by Herb Cohen, who was a potter. After 4 back surgeries, he’s recently given up throwing on the wheel, and now only hand-builds his works. He just turned 80 years old (kinaherah!) and lives in Charlotte, NC.

  5. Favorite serving dish . . . Currently, I often use an oblong pink and blue dish that came in a gift set for my baby, but seems far too large and rather inappropriate for a baby, but perfect for asparagus. I did inherit a pretty painted Asian bowl faceted on the top and rounded on the bottom and painted with red and blue flowers in symmetrical patterns. I remember seeing on my grandma’s coffee table with mints or treats in it, and it makes me think of pleasant, cough-drop flavored candies. 🙂 I need to use it more often.
