What’s the Best Black Friday Deal on an iPad?

Best Black Firday Deals on iPads

iPad deals for Black Friday 2015

If an iPad is on your Black Friday “watch list”, this post ought to make your deal-sleuthing a little bit easier.

Wal-Mart Black Friday iPad Deals

Walmart will have the lowest price on the Apple iPad Air 2 Gold 16GB with Wi-Fi. It will be on sale for $399 in-store only. This sale will go live at 6pm on Thursday (Thanksgiving) and the $399 price will be guaranteed for one-hour.

The iPad Mini 2 will be $199, a $69 savings, also with a one-hour guarantee.

With the guarantee, even if Walmart sells out before 7 pm, you will be able to pay for the item at the reduced price and register your receipt on Walmart.com/1HourGuarantee. Your item should arrive in store by 12/25.

You must be in line by 7 pm to take advantage of this deal.

Best Buy Black Friday iPad Deals

If you want an iPad with more memory, your best bet this Black Friday is probably Best Buy.

All capacity iPads will be discounted about $100 each.

  • Apple iPad Mini 4 64GB Tablet – $399.99
  • Apple iPad Air 2 16GB Tablet – $399.99
  • Apple iPad Air 2 64GB Tablet – $499.99

You can buy in store, starting at 5 pm on Thursday (Thanksgiving). The same deals will be available online,, perhaps as early as Sunday.

Target Black Friday iPad Deals

Best Black Friday Deals on iPads

Target’s iPad deals will rival those at Best Buy — with one added bonus: A Target gift card to use on a future purchase.

The iPad Aid 16GB will be $399.99 (like at Best Buy), but you’ll also get a $100 Target GiftCard, dropping your effective price down to $299.99. The Apple iPad Air 2 will be $499, but will come with a $150 Target GiftCard. Target has warned that quantities will be limited and no rain checks will be issued.

They will also have the iPad Mini 2 for $269 – $70 more than Walmart. However, at Target, you will earn an $80 gift card with your purchase, making your effective price $10 less.

If you prefer to shop online for your iPad deal, Target has said that all Black Friday deals will be available online, starting at 12:01 am on Thursday (Thanksgiving).

Last year, Target ended up releasing most of their deals at 3 in the morning, so by the time people woke up on the East Coast, nearly everything was sold out. What will happen this year remains to be seen!

What about iPad Deals at Amazon?

Amazon’s Black Friday sneak peak said nothing about iPad deals, unfortunately. And, based on past experience, Amazon is actually not usually a very good source for discounted Apple products.

The only exception in year’s past has been Apple laptops – so if you are in the market for a MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro, stay tuned: You might be in luck. For a iPad deal, however, I suggest checking out one of the three options above.
