  1. Anyone know if their long sleeve uniform polos are better quality than Walmart’s?

    • I’m not sure, but I do know the Walmart ones have polyester in them, which given my choice, I’d rather have 100% cotton. But that could be just me.

I don’t know how Walmart’s are (what’s the brand name on the label? I’ll check my pile.) but after I read your question I happened to notice one of the shirts I was taking out of the washer was Children’s Place. Our school had the PTO used uniform sale this weekend, so I picked up shirts based on the size I needed and condition. The C.P. one I picked up is navy long sleeved and the color was very good, not faded. Better yet, the material was very thick and soft. Buying used, of course, I don’t know how many years it’s been in circulation. It looked brand new.

The only possible “no-no” was a happy face logo in where a standard polo logo goes. It was navy thread on the navy shirt, so not very noticeable. I wouldn’t have thought it would be allowed at our school, but since I bought it from the PTO in the school cafeteria I guess we’ll give it a try. Our kindergarten teacher last year wasn’t strict, but I understand our new 1st grade teacher is “old school”. We’ll see. It will probably be hidden under the jumper, so maybe we’ll save it for jumper days.

      • Thanks so much for this feedback. We’ve generally been very pleased with TCP quality, so glad to know it applies to their uniform polos as well!
