Are your kids Star Wars fans? Angry birds fans?
If the answer to either of those questions is yes, then I’ve got a super fun giveaway for you this week.
Hasbro just released their new Angry Birds Star Wars® AT-AT Attach Battle Game and my family got to give a whirl over the weekend.
When we opened it up, I immediately loved those little Star Wars-birds — they’re adorable. Especially the R2D2 one. (See? Cute!)
For me, the best part of the game is that you can set up a whole battle scene (aka the “AT-AT blocks”) using ZERO electricity. Which means that the game was perfect for my boys (ages 9 and7) to play on Shabbat.
There is some construction involved (no tools required, just snapping the plastic pieces together), which I needed to help my kids with. And once they were finished playing, it was easy enough to break the pieces down — and store them in a Ziploc bag for next time.
In addition to the 12 Star Wars Birds and the 21 launching blocks, the set also comes with a Lightsaber Launcher and a special code to unlock in-app content on the Angry Bird StarWars app.
My only critique of the game is the price point – it retails for $39.95. To me, $40 is a lot to pay for a game, but I imagine we’ll see sales on this pretty shortly. And I’d definitely grab another one for the birthday closet if I could get it for $10 or $15.

My 8 year old loves both Angry Birds and Star Wars. This would be a great treat for him to reward him for all his hard work. He has Dyslexia and stays in the house everyday for at least 1 hour while his friends and sister are outside playing because he knows he needs to get his work done!
