Small Business Owners / WAHMs: Great Deals on Web Design, Biz Cards and More

groupon kinedo deal

Staring your own home-based business can be a great way to earn some extra money. When my husband and I got serious about getting out of debt, one of our top priorities was increasing our income.

Since I am a freelance writer, I seriously turned up the volume and got busy applying for tons of freelance gigs. That went well, but I was often left wondering how to balance investing in my business vs. earning money from my business.

If you have your own small business, you probably know what I’m talking about. We need business cards. We need a website. We might even need a logo and tagline. And if you’re not a programming/designing/copy-writing whiz, all these things you need can end up costing you a small fortune.

That’s why I was psyched when Groupon sent me these special friends-and-family deals for small business owners like myself.

  • $120 worth of Graphic Design & Printing Services from Inkd for JUST $30 – My husband has ordered business cards from Inkd and I was very impressed with both the quality of the printing and the weight of the paper. These were not flimsy, run of the mill cards. And Inkd does a lot more than just print cards; they design logos, business cards and brochures, and provide custom design services.
  • New Website Design or 5-Page Redesign for Just $250 ($599 value) from Kinedo Creative Studio – I haven’t used Kinedo before, but I checked out their portfolio and was impressed. The Atlanta-based company seems to have the right blend of boutique creativity with an accessible price point for small business owners.

Both of these deals are good nationwide. If you are already signed up for Groupon, just click either of the above links to get access to these exclusive friends-and-family deals.

If you are not yet signed up for Groupon, do that first, then come back here and click on the links. Because these are private deals, you won’t be able to locate them by searching “Other Cities”. Be sure to read the fine print on both deals.

And one more deal I wanted to share with my fellow WAH-friends.

  • Vistaprint is running a Buy One Get One Free deal on their premium business cards. Their regular cards (which are free right now) are printed only on one side, with a Vistaprint logo on the back. The Premium Cards have no logo and have more customizable options. With the BOGO special, you will pay just $3.99 for 500 cards. I’m working on designing blogging cards right now and am planning to take advantage of this deal myself.
