Sometimes I think it must be illegal…

practically free cereal and other goodies

… to buy 18 boxes of cereal for $2.32!

Altogether the items in this picture cost me $10.17, including tax. I shopped at Whole Foods and HyVee, and yes, I did use coupons on every single item in my haul — including a free product coupon on the 7th Gen diapers.

I spent 20 minutes before I left getting all my coupons together and then the shopping trips themselves took about 35 minutes. While I normally shop with at least one or two of my kids, this time I decided to go at night, once the kids were in bed, since I’m so much faster without them.

Not all of my shopping trips are like that. In fact, there are plenty of times that I just pop into Walmart and pick up the stuff on my list without using a single coupon. But when the deals are *this* good, I can’t resist.

great deal on water at Office Depot

my littlest helper

Speaking of not being able to resist, I just had to get those $.08/bottle spring waters at Office Depot that I told you about yesterday. The deal worked exactly as it was supposed to, and the cashier didn’t even bat an eye at me for schlepping my three kids to buy a cart overflowing with spring water.

Have you done any deals lately that were so sweet it almost felt like they should be illegal? Tell us about them in the comments section. Or send me a picture of your haul and I’ll be happy to feature it here on the blog!

  1. That’s awesome!! Good work. I actually brought all of my kids on one of my cereal trips. It was a lot of work shlrpping them in and out but very worth it.

  2. 12 containers of Wholly Gauacamole for free!!!! (on sale for $1 and $1.50 off coupons, which they combined 2 coupons for 3 packs = 6 coupons and 12 free packs!) oh and shop rite had a sale on GM cereals 4/$8 and i had coupons for every singl eone that was at least .65 cents/1 and they were doubled, so basically paid .50 cents a box.

  3. How much did you pay for the YoBaby??

    • The yobaby was $2.69. I had (2) $1/1 manufacturer coupons, plus $1/2 Whole Foods coupon, so they were $1.19 each.

Awesome job on the guacamole! You know you can freeze them, right?
