Have you recently purchased a DSLR? (Maybe the awesome Canon deal for under $500?)
Perhaps you already owned a DSLR camera, but never managed to figure out how to get off Auto mode.
One of my goals for 2014 is to get on to Manual mode — and start taking some Pinterest-worthy images. (I’m not aiming for award-winning, mind you — just for pictures that I don’t constantly have to apologize for!)
I recently purchased a series of online video photography classes thru the site Shoot Fly Shoot.
I’ve been really impressed with the few videos I’ve had time to watch so far. I like how they break the lessons down into bite-sized pieces — Exposure, ISP, Aperture, Shutter Speed, etc.
The videos range from a few minutes to 45 minutes long, and I can watch it over – and over – again until I really “get” that lesson. Being able to learn at my own speed is perfect for me.
I’m telling you guys about Shoot Fly Shoot now, even though I haven’t finished watching the whole series, because they are running a 50% off Cyber Monday special.
When I logged in tonight to watch the next video, I notice the sale — and I noticed that the prices are still good now (as of 10 pm CST on 12/4, at least)!
So I quickly ran over her to tell you guys about it!
Click on the Classes tab to see all the online photography classes Shoot Fly offers. I am signed up for a package with both Photography 101 and Photography 102, which thru the Cyber Monday special is just $49.50, regularly $99.
You can also sign up for classes in:
- Lightroom
- Photoshop TouchUp
- Photoshop CS6
Since so many of you have joined me as new camera owners, I thought you might be interested in this big 50% discount. If you do sign up with Shoot Fly Shoot, I’d love to hear your take on the video classes as well.
P.S. I don’t know when this special ends, so I wouldn’t wait past tonight if you’re interested.
