Email clutter used to be one of the biggest time sucks in my day.
Months ago, I got serious about the situation and spent hours one morning unsubscribing from the dozens upon dozens of mass emails I got every day. I still wake up to a ridiculous amount of email – but it’s double-digits, not triple!
I did this manually, but if that seems to cumbersome (it took me a looong time!), there are online service like the FREE Unroll.me.
With Unroll.me, your “graymail” gets aggregated into a single, daily email. You get short previews of each item – and then only open the ones that you’re interested in.
With over 100,000 subscribers, Unroll.me says it has diverted some 106 million unwanted emails and summarized more than 225 million emails. That’s pretty amazing growth for a program that just came out of beta this year.
Do you use Unroll.me to manage your inbox “clutter”? What do you think of it?
What is the fee for this service? I can’t seem to find it on the website.
Oh sorry! It’s free!!
I’m curious why is this a free service. There has to be some benefit to the company for doing this. Do I sound jaded, or what?
So will they email it to me once every day, or throughout the day? If it is once, when does it come, in the AM or evening?
