I have had my eye on the UGG Tasman indoor-outdoor slippers for a while, but I just can’t justify the $110 price tag. So I’ve been on the hunt for a good alternative and the two highest rated choices, far and away, are the Koolaburra by UGG Burree and the Bearpaw Martis. Now my only challenge was finding the best deal. While the Koolaburra have gone on sale for Black Friday for around $55, I just found a much better special on the Bearpaw!

I grabbed myself a pair after doing the research and here’s what sold me: Unlike the Koolaburra, the lining on these Martis slippers is wool blend (Koolaburra is all synthetic) and the footbed is removable if you need to use an insert. I also love that they come pre-treated for water and stains!
Most reviews say that Bearpaw run a bit small (they stretch / get better as the wool lining compacts down), so if you’re normally a half size, size up. I got a 9 wide (my foot is a bit wide, but I debated this for a while) and I’ll let you know what I think.
FWIW, I do love my UGG boots and have worn them every winter since I got them in 2019, but the slip-in style of these is so appealing, and for Israel winters, I don’t always need the warmth of a mid-calf boot!
