If anyone is like me and wondering, it looks like you can not remove the name of the month from the front of the book. Per Chatbooks’ FAQs: “Our 5×5″ Monthly Minis feature a Month and Year on the cover. These covers are not editable and the title on these covers cannot be changed.”
Looks like you have one month to create the books. They will charge you $8 monthly starting December 31.
“Enjoy monthly photo books for just $8/month, starting Dec 31, 2025. Your ongoing subscription will automatically renew monthly at the standard pricing. Credits expire 13 months after purchase while subscription is active. Cancel anytime. Any unused promotional credits expire at cancellation.”
I don’t understand this offer: “Your initial set of 12 Monthly Minis will be a total of $12. Then your subscription will automatically renew at $8/month, starting the month after purchase.” So if you pay $12 for the 12 books, can you cancel before the end of the month and still use the book credits? Has anyone tried this?
I think that is a typo, but I will reach out to confirm. You have 12 months to make the 12 minis and then you get charged after that if you don’t cancel (it’s very easy to cancel on their website). Let me reach out to confirm this and I’ll update.
Tzipi & Chana – Thank you both for drawing my attention to this. After reaching out to them, I learned that unfortunately they have changed the terms of this offer. I’m pretty frustrated that they kind of slipped it in there — feels like a bait and switch. In any case, I’m marking this deal as expired, just to make sure that you two have a chance to see my comment. After that, I’m going to remove it all together from the blog.
