Update: I’m sorry you guys! This appears to be giving fits to many of you. I did it myself right as I was posting and it worked – but now it’s saying they are out of movies (who knew digital movies could run out?) As I just said on my Facebook wall: I wish these companies would realize that these offers go viral – and they need to be prepared for the traffic (aren’t they doing this for the traffic anyway??) /rant over/
Oh my goodness, this is an awesome FREEBIE!
Best Buy is rewarding its Facebooks fans with a FREE movie download each day for the next eight days. Click here for today’s code to choose from 8 different titles for download.
The code they will give you is for today only – and then you’ll have to head back tomorrow for a new code – and a new download.
Todays movies are:
Horrible Bosses
Batman Begins
Happy Feet
Sherlock Holmes
Arthur (2011)
The Blind Side
The Hangover
So, go like Best Buy on Facebook. Then double click the blue graphic, which will open up a new page from Cinema Now. Click the movie icon that you want to download, enter your code, and grab your flick!
What are you going to download???
Seems like the code is already expired. Not exactly fair if they get you to “like” them to only make the download code available to the first few.
Stephanie – I JUST did this and it worked fine for me. The code is NOV29 – did it not work when you tried to put it in for the movie?
Same thing happened to me. The message says, “TODAY’S OFFER HAS EXPIRED.
We have run out of supplies of our complimentary movie for today, and today’s promo code is not invalid. Be sure to check our Facebook.com/BestBuy tomorrow to receive a new code, and choose from a new list of titles-whiles supplies last!”
I didn’t know it was possible to run out of digital movie copies!?!?
I got the “Todays Offer has expired” message, too! Bummer.
*UPDATE* There is a work-around!! 🙂 Just ignore the expired message and click on one of the 8 titles below it. Click “buy”, enter the promo code Nov29, and it will adjust your total to $0, let you check out and buy the movie! I just went through the whole process and it does work! 🙂
Double-check me, Stephanie. I just went back to the page again and those (7, not 8) titles no longer appear. Don’t know if it’s just me b/c I already downloaded one. *crossing fingers that it still works*
Would be cooler if they did the 8 downloads for 8 nights of Chanukah… Hmmm… someone in marketing should be reading this blog.
Ha! I was *totally* thinking that!!!!!
great minds…
LOL 🙂
If you go to cinema now and click buy and whichever of those movies then at checkout type Nov29
it is still free. I am doing it now.
