I wanted to remind everyone about the Matanot l’Evyonim Campaign that I kicked off last week. You have until Wednesday (Ta’anit Esther) to donate canned goods, toiletry items, etc. to any food pantry or charitable organization in your area.
Then leave a message on the Matanot l’Evyonim Campaign post with the number of items you donated. For every item, my husband and I will donate $.25 to Meir Panim, to help feed the hungry in Israel.
Not sure where to donate your canned goods and other items? I asked on Facebook for readers to share information about the food pantries (both kosher and not) in their area. Here is a list supplied by my readers (thank you!) in alphabetical order by state.
Obviously this isn’t a comprehensive list, but it is a great starting point of some wonderful organizations that need our help. Please feel free to leave additional sites in the comments section and I will update this post.
