Are you planning to hit the Black Friday sales?
I’ve told you I’m planning to stay home, right? The truth is, I don’t think I’ve ever hit the stores the Friday after Thanksgiving. Frankly, I get a bit freaky in crowds.
But that doesn’t mean that I’m totally oblivious to the lure of scoring the deal-of-the-year. I get it. I do.
So, if you are planning to chase that deal, let me offer you these two pieces of advice:
1. Make a plan — Figure out what you’re shopping for, how much you can afford to spend, and what stores you want to shop at. If you go in with a plan, odds are pretty good that you will land your deal.
On the other hand, if you go just to “see what’s there”, you will probably spend a bunch of money you don’t have just because you got swept up in the deal-of-the-century hype.
2. Visit A FullCup’s Black Friday Guide — If you’re not sure where to start with your BF plan, start here. A FullCup is an incredible message board and resource for bargain seekers and coupon shoppers – on Black Friday and everyday.
Want to know what hot freebies will be available at CVS in six weeks? The FullCup gals have got the scoop. Want to know where to buy the cheapest garbage bags? The FullCup is your place. Want the very best Black Friday deals and coupon match-ups? You guessed it: The FullCup has ’em!
My favorite thread on the Black Friday Guide is the BF Comparison List, which breaks down all the best electronics deals by store. Whether you’re looking for a flat screen TV, a wireless printer or a game system, that thread should be your first stop!
Note: There are ads and sign-up prompts above the fold, but if you scroll down, you can see all the threads without actually having to sign in.
