Just one last reminder that you can still donate canned goods or other non-perishable items through the end of the day today (3/17/11) to be counted toward the Purim Mitzvah Challenge.
My husband and I will donate $.10 to Meir Panim in Israel for every item you donate. In light of the tragic events unfolding in Japan, we will also donate $.10/item to the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee for Japan/Pacific disaster relief.
I am being joined in the Purim Mitzvah Challenge by two wonderful bloggers, Houston Ima and In Our Small Garden, who will be donating $.10 per donated item to Yad Sarah and Leket Israel, respectively. So after you leave your total number of items donated on my blog, please be sure to visit their blogs and leave your totals there, too. Yes, your donations can be “triple counted”!
Please consider donating. The needs are immense – both at home and around the world. Let us shine a light through our actions of tzedakah. Tizku l’Mitzvot.
