The Bar Mitzvah Is In the Books

A & MeThe best advice I got before my son’s Bar Mitzvah started was to take in every moment, because they go by so fast. And it was completely true – you spend months (and months!) planning, and then in a blink of an eye, it’s over.

I am not sure that I have the words to accurately describe how grateful and humbled and amazed I feel by everything that happened in the last 48+ hours — and most importantly by my son, whom I am so very proud of.

So I will just tell you that I’m back, with full (or at least full-ish) attention for normal life, including Kosher on a Budget! With the exception of Prime Day, KOAB has really taken a real backseat in the last few weeks.

Thanks for giving me that space to focus on family, but now you gotta get ready for some deals — especially back-to-school ones!

And with that, I leave you with this picture of me and my boy (man???), taken at havdalah Saturday night. I think our smiles really say it all, don’t you?!

P.S. For those of you planning a simcha — or who are just interested in the deets from ours — I will be writing up a number of posts over the next few weeks to share some specifics, including the real deal with our budget. Yup, I am going to get personal about how much we spent, where (and how) we saved, and where (and why) we splurged. *Gulp*

Mazal tov! Definitely – take a lot of mental pictures!!! (At least a wedding isn’t on Shabbat, so you can have actual pictures, too!)
