Jewish Online School

This is a sponsored post on behalf of the Jewish Online School. All opinions about homeschooling are my own. For more information, please see my Disclosure Statement.

One of my greatest challenges during our two years of homeschooling was finding a top-notch Limudei Kodesh curriculum for my children.

Although we’re no longer homeschooling, I have been thrilled to discover that there are a growing number of online resources for Jewish studies — which are perfect for homeschoolers, after-schoolers and anyone who lives in an area without access to regular Jewish education.Jewish Online School

The Jewish Online School is one of these great institutions. Its target audience is Jewish children who live in places without access to Jewish education, as well as homeschoolers.  Established in 2010, the Jewish Online School was the first interactive online school, which, for the past 8 years, has been offering online Jewish education to children in grades K-12 who don’t have access to Jewish schools.

Priding itself on providing a quality Hebrew school with experienced and warm teachers, the Jewish Online School students can learn in the comfort of their own home. Classes are fun and interactive, featuring both Hebrew-reading and Judaic studies courses and connecting your child to other Jewish students around the world.

There are also private custom classes, Hebrew conversational classes, and Bar Mitzvah lessons.

The Jewish Online School now offers:

Jewish Day School
Full-time and part-time classes ranging from basic Judaism all the way to Chumash, Parsha, Mishnayot, Gemara and Tanach

Hebrew School
Once a week, we bring the fun of Hebrew School to the child’s home computer, providing the basic building blocks of Judaism from which future growth can begin. The students also learn how to read Hebrew.

Conversational Hebrew
We have special classes designed just for Conversational Hebrew (Ivrit) for those who want to focus on the language itself!

Bar Mitzva Online
It’s the Bar Mitzva classes from yesterday delivered live in a fun and interesting one-on-one setting, providing the child with the skill and confidence to shine at his coming of age.

The Jewish Online Schools specializes in serving the children of US military personal stationed around the country and abroad. “Our service members us and our families peace, security and protection,” says JOS Principal, Chaya Margolin, “so we seek to provide them with the peace of mind that their children will receive a quality Jewish education. Our school provides consistency to these children’s lives as we constantly move with them.”

Prioritizing growth and professionalism, the Jewish Online School continually expands the number of students it serves, as well as the scope of classes that they offer. Because of its commitment to serving Jewish students anywhere in the world, JOS operates its classes on a full 24-hour daily cycle, accommodating children from any and all time zones.

In addition to maintaining a high standard for its academic curriculum, the JOS virtual classroom also uses cutting edge technology that brings students together and allows them to interact and bond with a national and international group of friends.

  1. Shavua tov,
I am writing you from Namibia,we have 2 little 3year olds who we want to start Hebrew school.there is really not any option of any sort of Jewish education in Windhoek, the capital, and we do the best we can.
They have been doing home schooling with a program called practica from South Africa, but trying to juggle the education with work is a bit difficult. We decided to do the practica program ourselves because the nannies here that we find they just don’t do anything not even the program with the kids.
From what age do you enroll kids?and when you say for the Cheder full time and part time, how many hours is that?
We are also looking to get someone from Israel to au pair the kids which would help us out greatly.
    Looking forward to your response
