Looks like a pretty good week for stocking up at CVS. Just as a reminder, I like to share with you the deals at CVS not because the store is some mecca for kosher products — although obviously it does carry some hechshered food items — but rather because getting your toiletries for free can open up a ton of wiggle room in your budget.
If you are new to deal shopping at CVS, be sure to read my How to Shop at CVS tutorial first, otherwise this whole post will probably seem like it’s written in code!
Here are the deals I hope to do this week:
Edge Infused or Schick Hydro Shave Gel $2.79 Earn 1.80 ECB Limit 1
Use $1/1 Schick Hydro Shave Gel 8/8/2010 Smart Source Insert
= Free + $.01 in overage after coupons and ECBs
Revlon Super Lustrous, Moon Drops, Color Burst Lip or Double Twist Mascara $6.99 Earn 5 ECBs Limit 6
Use $2/1 Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (Facebook)
=FREE after coupon and ECBs!
*Plus get a Free Charm with beauty purchase (Coupon prints out at the scanner)
Right Guard Sport, Total Defense or Dry Idea $2.99 Earn 2 ECB Limit 3
-$3/2 Right Guard Total Defense
=FREE + $1.02 overage after coupons and ECBs when you buy 2!
Quaker Oats or Granola Bars 2/$5 Earn 2 ECB Limit 1
Use (2) $1/1 Quaker Instant Oatmeal 9/12/2010 Red Plum Insert
= $.50 each after coupons and ECBs
If you don’t have any ECBs to roll, here’s how you can buy all four items for less than $6, and still have $5 in ECBs to use next week!
Transaction #1: Buy Edge Shave Gel, $1.70 OOP (out of pocket) after coupon + tax –> Earn $1.80 ECB
Transaction #2: Buy Revlon product of choice, $4.99 after coupon – $1.80 ECB = $3.19 OOP –> Earn $5 ECBs
Transaction #3: Buy 2 Right Guards ($2.98 after coupons) + 2 Quaker oats ($3 after coupons) – $5 ECBS = $.98 OOP –> Earn $2 and $3 in ECBs
I did the transactions in this order for two reasons:
(1) I prefer to have smaller value ECBs left over to roll for the following week, and
(2) The OOP is one whole penny less than if you’d flipped Transaction #2 and Transaction #3.
