Have you done your CVS run yet this week?
I just got back from a quick stop at CVS and discovered how to turn a CVS freebie into a money-maker. You will have to look for — or ask for — the CVS Season to Save book.
At my store, it was behind the counter, and I just asked the cashier for a copy. Inside there is a coupon for a $4 ECB when you spend $20.
So here’s what you do:
Buy one Oral-B Vitality Floss Action Toothbrush ~ $23, limit 2
-Use $10/1 Oral-B Vitality 11/14/2010 RP Insert (exp 12/31/2010)
-Earn $13 ECBs from Oral-B deal
-Earn $4 ECBs from Season to Save coupon
=Spend $13 OOP and Earn $17 in ECBs for your next trip!
That’s what we call a $4 money maker! And if you happen to have two copies of the $10/1 coupon, you can do this deal twice (it’s a Limit 2!).
- Do two transactions.
- The first time, your OOP will be $13 (plus tax). You will earn $4 + $13 in ECBs.
- The second time, pay with your $13 ECB from the 1st transaction, so your OOP will be $0 and you will still have $4 in ECBs from the 1st transaction and $13 from the 2nd transaction to roll on your next trip!

I guess I should have shopped with you while I was there. Thanks for asking for me for a booklet!
My pleasure! 🙂
When I scanned my CVS card at the kiosk yesterday, it gave me a coupon for $4 off $20 purchase. Also, in STL the ads that came in the newpaper (not the ones you pick up in the store) have a $5 off $20, in celebration of some grand openings in the area.
(But I didn’t get to use any of these since they were out of the toothbrushes.)
Awesome job with the magic coupon machine! Love those!
Don’t forget to ask for rain checks if they’re out of the toothbrushes (or anything else). Even the ECBs on them are put on the raincheck!
