In the market for a robot vacuum?
I got one of the extremely highly rated eufy 11s by Anker BoostIQ RoboVacs during the Black Friday sales and let me just tell you, even my kids know that he is now my favorite child!
Right now you can get it for even lower than during Black Friday — just $119, regularly $129.99.
The 11s Max (which is the one I got!) is just a bit more at $149, regularly $249. The Max has more suction power, and since we have a dog and a cat, I figured I needed as much help as I could get! Although I have a friend with a small shedding dog and she is very happy with the originally eufy 11S.
Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong!
Other than the fact that I now have a clean (i.e. hair-free, dust-free) floor every morning when I come downstairs thanks to the timer function, here’s what else I love about the eufy — aka “Dusty” (as we’ve named him — so far:
It’s simple – I did a lot of research and decided that I didn’t want all the bells and wifi whistles; I wanted great suction and reliability, which the eufy has in spades, without the worry that all the functionality would complicate my life unnecessarily (especially since our house has terribly spotty wifi anyway)
It’s thorough — I vacuumed the floor with my Dyson stick vac before running the eufy for the first time, just to get a baseline. It cleaned our bottom level for about 95 minutes, quietly going about its business, while I made lunch and hung out with my kids. When I emptied the dust trap at the end, it was completely full! With a highly shedding dog and cat, their hair was a constant source of frustration for me, no matter how often I ran my Dyson. Now it’s a total non-issue! As an added benefit, by running the eufy every day, the amount of dust on my furniture has been significantly reduced. And even though I only run “Dusty” on our main floor, our upstairs is much less dusty / hairy, too — I guess all that stuff was really floating around!
It’s slim — In fact, I think it’s the slimmest profile of any robot vacuum out there. It fits nicely underneath lots of low profile furniture that even my Dyson can’t reach.
It’s smart— Even though the eufy 11S (both Max and original) isn’t technically a “smart vacuum” (it doesn’t have the mapping / blocking with wifi option, for example), the eufy clearly learns quickly; it bumped into the edge of my couch once and during the next pass in that direction, it steered a wider pass around that corner.
It’s sleek – maybe it shouldn’t matter, but I admit to being partial to the eufy’s aesthetic.
The 11S robot vacuum has over 60,000 reviews with an average 4.5 start rating! Also, GREAT news for my friends in Israel: Per eufy’s FAQs (and my own personal experience!), the Robovac vacuums work with voltages from 100 – 240V, so you can use this in Israel with a plug adapter.
