Oy vey! Another major security breach.
Home Depot has had a data breach (not unlike the one we saw earlier this year at Target), which means that if you have shopped there anytime between April 1st, 2014 and September 7th, 2014, your credit card may have been compromised.
Home Depot is offering 12 months of FREE Identity Theft Protection via All Clear ID. If you have any unauthorized charges as a result of the breach, All Clear ID will take care of cleaning up the identity theft for you.
Thanks to my husband for letting me know about this – and for getting our family signed up, since between moving and getting settled in a new home, we’ve definitely been shopping at Home Depot with our credit card.
