Moadim l’Simcha!
I’ve been meaning to share these pictures with you all week, but the days just got away from me.
Here’s my almost 7 year-old showing off his Ushpizin mobile
And I made the “disco ball” light. Well, it was actually a team effort – I did the construction, my husband wired it all up.
The thing was HUGE, so my husband and I decided that half a ball would be better – lest we end up with disco ball in our soup. Next year, I might try using the little kiddush cups to make a full ball – but this was definitely a fun “conversation piece”.
We used a black light (well, purple actually), which created a cool effect at night. You can’t really tell here, as it’s still light out – sorry.
My kids added a 2012 section onto our sukkah mural – I can’t believe we’ve already finished a panel.
And here’s a close-up of this year’s work (yes, my oldest son is sports obsessed – last year, it was a baseball field, this year, a football player).
And one last look
I wish I could have been organized enough to have a Virtual Sukkah Hop like last year. Please feel free to share your sukkah pictures on Facebook – I’d love to see them!
A Gutten Moed. Beautiful Sukkah. Listen, I know that things have been crazy with yom tov and everything; however, I’ve really been looking forward to your next installment in your Mint.com tutorials. If you wouldn’t mind addressing that soon, I’d really appreciate it.
