This is PURIM GIVEAWAY week! Did you catch my 1st giveaway yesterday to KosherWine.com?
Today for Giveway #2, I’ve got a great prize for those of you with little ones in your life.
The lovely folks at Shalom Sesame sent me and my family their latest pre-release titles, Be Happy: It’s Purim and It’s Passover, Grover!
The other day, we sat down to watch Be Happy: It’s Purim and were completely charmed. My favorite part? Natalie Portman’s cameo IN HEBREW!
The DVD features many of your favorite Sesame Street characters, plus a handful of Hollywood stars – like Natalie and Eva Longoria. From sampling “Oznei Haman” (Hamantashen cookies) at the bakery to hosting a Purim Shpiel in the “kikar” (town square), the whole episode is sweet and engaging. And for my Israeli-born boys, it felt like a fun little touch of home. 🙂
My daughter was completely enamored with Moishe Oofnik, the Oscar the Grouch character, whose shenanigans threatened to ruin little Avigail’s Purim Shpiel. I won’t spoil the ending, but suffice it to say that good won out again on Purim 😉
Two lucky Kosher on a Budget readers will win a 2-disc Shalom Sesame DVD set, complete with Be Happy: It’s Purim & It’s Passover, Grover!
Do you want to win a Shalom Sesame DVD set? You have three ways to enter to win. Be sure to leave separate comments for each answer to increase your chances.
(1) Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite Sesame Street character (I’m totally old school. Elmo? Feh. I love me some Suuuuuper Grover!)
(2) Subscribe to Kosher on a Budget – either via the RSS feed or the email updates, then come back and leave a second comment telling me you have done so. If you already subscribe to KOAB, just leave a comment to that effect.
(3) Tweet about this giveaway on Twitter. Be sure to include a link back to this post. Or you can just cut & paste this: I just entered to win two Shalom Sesame DVDs from @kosheronabudget. Come join the Purim fun! http://kosheronabudget.com/?p=6671 After you’ve tweeted, come back and leave a comment letting me know you’ve done so.
Entries on this – and the rest of my Purim giveaways – will end on Sunday, March 13 at midnight. I will announce all the winners on Monday morning!
All winners will be selected randomly. Each person can win only once during the week-long Purim Giveaway.
This giveaway is open to all Kosher on a Budget readers – from Akko to Alaska (and beyond!). If you are a winner and live in the United States, the DVDs will be mailed directly to you from the good PR people at Shalom Sesame. If you win and you live outside the United States, I will ship the DVDs to you on my own dime. I won’t, however, be responsible for any duties or tariffs you may need to pay by your home country.
Disclosure: Shalom Sesame provided my family with free copies of the Purim and Passover DVDs for my honest review. I was not compensated in any other way for running this giveaway. My opinions of the adorable Natalie Portman are all my own.
