If you’re planning to do any shopping online today or over the weekend, I strongly suggest that you click through a cash-back site like Ebates.
Ebates is offering double cash back at over 500 stores, including:
- Banana Republic – 8%
- Disney Store – 10%
- Lands End – 6%
- Philosophy – 7%
- Snapfish – 13% (today’s definitely the day to order any photo gifts for your Chanukah list!)
- Kohls – 4%
If you’re not familiar with Ebates, here is how it works: If you are planning to order a new skirt from Banana Republic, instead of typing in bananarepublic.com into your browser, you pull up your Ebates account and search for BR. Clicking through Ebates brings you to the BR site — and automatically records your purchase total to give you your cash back.
Ebates sends out its checks once a quarter and in order to get yours, you have to have at least $5.01 in your account. If you have less than that, the money will just roll over and keep accumulating until the next quarter. My last check was for $8. Obviously I’m not going to get rich with an $8 check, but hey, it’s FREE MONEY. And since I was going to make the online purchase anyway, why not get some free money for it?!
