Stop by Starbucks on Mother’s Day (Sunday, 5/11/14) to get Buy One, Get One Free Chai Tea Lattes.
Just purchase one latte, and mom’s latte is FREE.
** Important Update **
You guys, I really apologize for not thoroughly investigating this before I posted. I assumed that this was their regular Chai Latte, but KOAB reader Allison has let me know that this is not her understanding. And in fact, that the Oprah Chai Tea is made by Teavana, which is not certified kosher.
Please confirm the status yourself, but proceed with extreme caution on this one.
I don’t know if you saw my comment about the Oprah Chai Tea Latte, but it’s not kosher. Teavana teas are not kosher-certified. Additionally, Oprah Chai Tea includes “natural flavor.” Short of knowing what that natural flavor is, there’s no way that it can be assumed the tea is kosher (and trust me, I’ve had friends look into Teavana because their teas always smell and look so good).
Even Kosher Starbucks (which I don’t always agree with, btw)says that the Oprah Chai Tea Latte is “ingredients kosher” and not actually “kosher.”
