Coconut oil is a wonderful high-heat stable oil great for cooking and popping stove-top popcorn. You can also use as a natural hair conditioner or lotion.
We ordered this oil a few months ago with a similar deal and I am loving cooking with it! It has a very slight coconut flavor in baked good, but when sauteed, I can’t detect it at all.
Having contacted the OU about this brand, my understanding (as always – consult your LOR) is that EVCO does not require a hechsher.
