School may have just ended in your neck of the woods, but back-to-school sales are gearing up this week!
If you’ve got a mile-long list of school supplies, then you’re going to want to pay special attention to Kosher on a Budget. Every Sunday for the rest of the summer, I will be posting a round-up of the very best deals on school supplies at stores near you. Of course, I’ll also post awesome online school supply deals, too!
If you’re off-roading your shopping, you still want to be sure you’re getting the very best price. So, by popular demand, I’ve put together this 2015 Back to School Best Prices List.
These are your “buy now” prices on 39 of the most common items on school’s supply lists. To hit these targets, I recommend starting early and being patient – all supplies will eventually reach these buy-now prices, but they won’t all do it the same week or at the same store.
If the price on an item is slightly higher than the one listed here, it may still be worth it for you to buy it — so you can cross it off your list and be done with it! (This is a prime example of that old Time vs. Money conundrum.)
Here are more strategies for getting the best prices on school supplies.
Cut & paste this list into a document on your phone – or head over HERE to print out a copy of this list, which I saved for you as a Google Doc.

Backpacks & Lunchboxes
If you don’t mind waiting until after the first day of school, I like to buy both backpacks and lunch boxes on Clearance. I’ll be sure to post about various clearance finds, both in stores and online. We’ll have to wait and see if Office Max/Office Depot continue offering FREE After Rewards backpacks as they did in years past.
(Many school supply lists include these items; ideally you can just take these from your stockpile, but if you need to buy, here are my target prices)

Ziploc Bags, 24-count – $1.50 (Costco with a coupon)
