Well, the deals at CVS just keep rolling in! And I thought it was a ho-hum week. Love when I get surprised like this!
Here’s how to get six free Speedstick – and possibly even make some money, too.
SpeedStick or Lady SpeedStick @ $1.99 each = $11.94
Spend $12, Get $6 ECBs
Use (3)B1G1 Speed Stick or Lady Speed Stick Deodorant, up to $3.99 01/29/12 SS Insert (exp 02/15/12)
Pay $5.97 after coupons
Get back $6 ECBs
= FREE after ECBs!
Even better, a reader in Detroit named Deb said that she had a MIR in her Smart Source insert for $5 when you spend $10 in one qualifying purchase on Colgate or SpeedStick products.
This must be a regional rebate, as I didn’t get the form in my Smart Source 🙁
While I obviously haven’t seen the form, these deals are most often BEFORE your coupon total – which means you should be able to submit your receipt and get back $5. Which means you will turn your FREE deodorant into money-make deodorant! Woohoo!!
Thanks, Deb!
Be sure to check out the rest of the CVS deals this week before you head out.
Question: if the Speed Stick total before coupons is $11.94, how does it trigger the ECBs? Don’t you need another six cents to get over the $12 threshold?
wondering the same thing?
The ECBs are triggered if you’re within a few cents.
really?! that’s great information!
Yup! It doesn’t always work, but 95% of the time, the ECB or CVS Cash will trigger a few pennies under if the items are $x.99 priced. (Hope that made sense.)
Hey, Mara – I have an extra rebate form. If you email me your address, I’ll mail it to you!
By the way, this deal was even better than I expected – Two of my 3 BOGO coupons took off $3.99 (the other was $1.99) so I’ve already made $4 even before the rebate!
Thanks, Marsha!!! Another reader already offered. You guys are the best I’m excited about my $5 rebate 🙂
I wonder if anyone else might need it though! Perhaps I’ll post on the FB wall for those that need/have to exchange possibly!
I’ll take the extra if it’s still available….
I did this deal and the coupon came up as $3.99 off for the one free instead of $1.99 (since that is the regular price). I confronted the cashier about it and he told me that there was nothing he could do since that is how the coupon rung up. What should I do? I don’t want to do anything that is unethical….
The same thing happened for me, Shani. Sometimes the coupons require an amount to be written in for a FREE coupon, but sometimes they are pre-coded with the dollar amount. In this case, you’re fine – just enjoy the extra savings 🙂
Is there any reason why I can’t use 3 BOGO coupons and 3 $1/2 when I buy 6 deodorants? 6 coupons for 6 items? I couldn’t find the rebate in my SS.
