CVS: Possible FREE $5 Gift Card from Magic Coupon Machine

Thanks to reader Tovah for this awesome tip! Be sure to scan your Extra Care Card every time you shop at CVS to see what coupons, ECBs and free gift card offers you get!

I scanned my card in the in-store coupon machine today and got a coupon for a free $5 gift card simply for picking up a brochure on Medicare Part D at the pharmacy counter! I’m not even Medicare eligible, but it didn’t seem to matter.

Woohoo! A $5 gift card at CVS… that’s like $40 worth of merchandise the way we shop!

Let me know if you get the same offer.

  1. Didn’t get that one – but I did get $3 off any Pampers purchase of $15 or more. I was already buying a couple of jumbo packs of Easy Ups as part of the “spend $30, get $10 gift card” promotion (on sale for $8.99, plus 2X $1.50/1 MQs), so it made for a pretty sweet deal – just $.13 per Easy Up!

    • That’s an awesome price, Deb! Plus, if you buy 6 before the end of the year, you’ll get a coupon for a 7th free!

  2. We are hoping to be Dry All Night before it gets to that point! 😉

  3. I went today and got the Pampers coupon, too, but NOT the $5 one.

  4. Seeing that I’m the only reader so far to get this coupon makes me wonder if the coupon machine thought I was a senior citizen – Hehe.

  5. The magic machine didn’t give me the $5 coupon but somehow (no idea why!) I got a 30% off my next purchase when I checked out! I think that this was my personal best CVS transaction; I saved over 50% between sales, coupons, ECB and a 25% off total purchase coupon. On top of that will be the $18 rebate for Prevacid. The 30% off is only good until Thursday, so I guess I need to do some inventory before yom tov so I can take advantage!

Mara, I have to thank you for introducing me to the CVS “system”. My receipt says that I have saved over $300 this year. That will pay for a good amount of brisket! 🙂
