FREE Educational Websites for Kids at Home due to Coronavirus

I’ve come across a growing number of educational websites, offering free access for kids and their families isolating at home due to Coronavirus.

BrainPop — I used this site extensively when I was homeschooling my boys (elementary school age) and we all loved it. I definitely recommend signing up for the free access if your school is closed due to COVID-19.

Engaging learning games, animated movies, and activities. Designed witht relevance, depth, and humor to encourage kids on their unique learning paths.

DreamBox Math Learning — Although I have not personally used Dream Box, my friend who is a math coach recommended it to me. Through April 30, you can get a free 90-day trial so your children can learn math at home.

Much like a tutor or a coach, DreamBox provides kids with a challenging and fun math curriculum that adapts to give them the support that they need, when they need it.

Scholastic Learn at Home — Daily learning experiences for children from pre-k/Kindergarten thru 6th grade.

Even when schools are closed, you can keep the learning going with these special cross-curricular journeys. Every day includes four separate learning experiences, each built around a thrilling, meaningful story or video. Kids can do them on their own, with their families, or with their teachers. Just find your grade level and let the learning begin!

Do you know about other learning websites that are offering free subscriptions due to Coronavirus? Please leave a comment below so I can update this list!

  1. Twinkl is offering a free month. I’ve found lots of great stuff on there (including worksheets and some adult type coloring sheets-the call them mindfulness coloring sheets) and you can just save it to your google drive (or download), if you want to print at any time.

  2. Khan Academy is always free and great for ALL ages— young children all the way through to adults!
