Do you have a baby in your life? If so, you are going to love this week’s giveaway from the organic, kosher-certified (OU) Ella’s Kitchen baby food.
When my three children were babies, I made almost of all their food. I’d steam, mash, and puree – and then freeze up “serving size” portions in ice cube trays.
Feeding my kiddos at home was no problem – I would just pop out a cube’s worth and warm it up for a few seconds in the microwave. Feeding them on the go, however, was a bit more cumbersome.
At the time, there weren’t too many (any?) options in Israel for baby food that was both kosher and organic. (No, we aren’t exclusively organic eaters, but I was a bit more cautious about what I served my babies when they were under one.)
If Ella’s Kitchen baby foods been around back then, I think it would have been my perfect on-the-go solution.
All of Ella’s baby foods come packaged in convenient, ready-to-go pouches with resealable screw-off tops. Inside are delicious and nutritious FOODS – no additives, no impossible-to-pronounce thickening agents, no sugar, no salt, no water. Just yummy, wholesome, organic fruits, vegetables and rice.
Ella’s Kitchen has a full line of great flavors – both single and blended varieties, for once you’ve ruled out any food allergy issues. Our favorites are strawberries and apples (mmmmm), banana baby brekkie (banana puree with a bit of rice cereal) and “The Red One” with a mix of smoothie fruits.
Named for owner Paul Lindley’s daughter, Ella, Ella’s Kitchen graciously sent me a pack of their baby food for my family to sample. Although we are well past the baby food stage, I must confess that we all enjoyed these healthy little pouches for a quick snacks on-the-go. Even my 9 year-old asked for them at his basketball practice!

I give my baby jarred food.
I use baby food jars since I work. It is hard to find time to make my own.
I love these pouches for when we are on the go.
I tried hard to give my daughter foods that I could buy in regular aisles of the supermarket like mushed avacado, bananas, applesauce, yogurt. I used plenty of jars but really tried to avoid them.
first baby i tried to make all my own baby food, but baby #1 refused to eat anything… not much has changed since then. baby #2 was practically born eating and has an appetite for everything. i buy jars because even though i’d like to make my own food, there’s no way i’d ever get around to making as much as a variety as i’m able to buy in jars!
Nice giveaway! Would like to try:) My baby is now a toddler and eats whatever we eat. I don’t think I cooked anything special for her since she was probably 14 month. Before that a combination of some blended food and jarred Earth’s Best.
I love the pouches because even when my daughter no longer wanted to be spoon fed she could feed these to herself by squeezing.
i have never tried these. combination of both
First baby I made some of my own baby food, combined with the jar stuff. Second baby I did baby-led weaning with finger food/solids. But both my kids love the squeezey treats in these colorful pouches (and I love that they’re healthy to eat, not at all junky!) Would be so awesome to win!
I would love to try these when my baby starts food. They look really convenient!
I made almost all of my little man’s food (and still do), but if we were caught at someone’s house or going to be out without my frozen stash, I would run to the nearest Target and snag some Ella’s. They’re great for emergencies and even though my little man’s a year old now, these would be perfect for emergency snacks, etc. when we’re out and kosher/organic options are hard to come by.
My baby eats like a little man. He just finished a meal of unstuffed cabbage, quinoa and meat/potatoes. But he really loves the applesauces you can squeeze out of the bag, so winning this would be awesome. Also, I’m quite concerned about serving my little monkey healthy food, so if is was good enough maybe I would buy it.
we’ve tried it all; but so much easier to use packaged products, both pouches and jars.
I ground up adult food for the babies.
We LOVE these pouches/flavor combinations! We used them for our older daughter and now our 6 month old. She is devouring them, sometimes two in one sitting. I’m all about letting them try new flavors and this is such a great way to do so. Plus it’s less clean up 🙂
We use both. Baby just had her first matza ball with soup and smooshed up meatballs on Sukkot, she loved it! Can’t buy that in a jar!! Thanks for doing this giveway
I use a combo of homemade and premade food both at home and on the go, but I am willng to try anything.
I gave her jarred foods last year. Now she eats table foods and sometimes eats from those pouches.
I make some of my own food but need to supplement for variety! Baby boy Evan loves to eat!
right now my newest baby only nurses. Will do jarred food in another few months.
I make my own food but get on the go for shul and trips!
Combination of homemade and bought.
I usually buy baby food. I loveeee these pouches! The problem is that they are a little too expensive for my liking!
I try to make my own, but always like to have a few jars on hand for when we’re out. I’ve been freezing them in those ice cube trays that make the ice cubes into long sticks- sooo much easier for storing!
I have used these pouches and I love them. I mostly give my baby jars and sometimes mushed bananas. He is not such a big eater, I am trying to give him new things all the time to encourage him to be more interested in food.
I made about 50% of my baby’s food, the other 50% I would try to make sure was organic (even though we dont eat organic ourselves). We kept a package of these baby food pouches for quick food for her on the go. It was great that it didnt need to be in the fridge before it was opened!!!
#1 got home made, #2 gets whatever I can find the easiest
I did about 50% homemade and 50% premade. She would love these pouches and they were great for on the go!
We use jars and home but pouches on the go…Even my 4 yr old snacks on these!
i give her the leftover vegetables from the chicken soup
Love the pouches! Easiest way to feed my baby.
I make my food- it;s a little extra work, but i know it’s great for the kids!
Combination
I make own own except on Shabbat and YT, and Ella’s is our favorite!
Jarred food
I plan to make as much as I can for home but will probably buy for on the go!
I made as much of my own food as possible with both of my children. Now that they’re a little older, they still love their “squishers.” It’s perfect in a lunch box or on the go for both my 4 year old and my 18 month old. Thanks for hosting giveaway!!
combo
We make our own and use Ella’s!!
I made all my own baby food because it is much healthier and more nutritious. My three year old loves these pouches! Its a great way to give him extra fruits and vegetables- it’s a great snack!
for my 11month old i make my own food and use jar food as well especially on the go.
Usually use jars, these look good though!
Made baby food but used pouches for #3 in addition to the homemade stuff. Love Ella’s!
jars. pouches when we travel.
i was never really the make my own baby food type of person, but after working in a daycare in the infant’s room and seeing all these really busy moms make their own baby food i figured that with my next baby i’ll give it a try.
We used jarred food and pouches for on the go once the baby was older.
nursing, mashed veggies, and bananas! do people haev issues with “tube” foods getting squeezed out accidentally!
i hope to be able to make my own and freeze them in jars if i have the time…seems so much healthier!
I feed my 7 month old baby jars, pouches, and I still breastfeed.
i plan on making my own baby food, but realize i may have to resort to jarred food
I like to make my own. Wit my oldest, she sorta stopped eating the mush and then only wanted real food so didnt have to work too hard. But planning on trying again with my second
